When to connect two different floors
When you decide to restore or to redevelop the domestic or working places, you should not forget to renovate the floor. In particular, the choice of connecting two different floors can be a need or a precise will.
The decision of connecting two different floors is often a need aimed at limiting the costs. For this reason, many people decide to change the floor just partially, for example the bathroom and the kitchen, by keeping the remaining parts unchanged.
In particular, the new floor would cover the existing one, thus creating a small step. An important element that conceal this small gap is the connection profile, a detail that can really make the difference in a redevelopment project. This choice allows to create an open space and it is also an elegant solution to make everything more harmonious. Moreover, it is important to cover the step not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for the safety.
The different coverings have variable thicknesses depending on the material and range from 5 mm of the most common tiles to 10-20 mm of marble slabs and terracotta floors.
